Responsible for the overall administration and management of the Child Care Institution, ensuring the safety, care, protection, development and rehabilitation of children in accordance with the Juvenile Justice Act, Rules and applicable guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervision of institutional operations and staff, monitoring children’s health, education, nutrition, hygiene and psychosocial well-being, ensuring proper case management and documentation, monitoring Individual Care Plans
• Coordinating with CWC, DCPU, police, schools, hospitals and other stakeholders, facilitating restoration and rehabilitation,
• Maintaining institutional records, registers, stock and inventory
• Overseeing administrative and financial matters, addressing children’s grievances, and
• Ensuring a safe, child-friendly and rights-based environment within the CCI.
