Senior Researcher / Research Manager
Experience: Minimum 6 years
Location: South Delhi
The Senior Researcher / Research Manager will lead and manage research assignments and contribute to strengthening CMS’s research portfolio across social development, environment, governance, public policy, media and communication, and related emerging areas.
Key responsibilities:
- Conceptualisation and design of research studies
- Development of methodologies, research tools and analysis plans
- Managing qualitative and quantitative research assignments
- Leading field research, teams and stakeholder engagement
- Data analysis, synthesis and interpretation
- Leading preparation of reports, policy briefs, presentations and knowledge products
- Contributing to research proposals, partnerships and new areas of enquiry
- Presenting research findings to clients, government, partners and other stakeholders
- Mentoring and supporting junior researchers
- Contributing to CMS’s institutional research agenda and knowledge development
Desired Profile
We are looking for researchers with:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Communication, Economics, Management or other relevant disciplines
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent writing, presentation and communication abilities
- Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
- Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with research and data analysis tools is an advantage
- Intellectual curiosity, initiative and a commitment to evidence-based social change

Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, relevant experience and current compensation.
